Food was good, it was served on a silver platter, the food was placed in a way that attempted to make the dish look full " it did not " this would not prevent me from returning however I would probably request a plate did the food justice.
Good food at sensible prices. Drinks selection is good too, though not the same value. The restaurant is a little tight. There's not much room around and between the tables. Having said that a table is hard to find on popular nights. Staff are friendly and very efficient, operating in the narrow spaces. Table turnaround is very quick. The menu is a treat for meat lovers and the steaks are always good. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure.
The food choices are better than I thought they would be. Food is cooked to perfection. Special offers are great value but not had one yet.
I ordered the steak and ale pie, absolutely generous portion of meat cooked really well. I had read a few negative things recently so didn't expect anything amazing but I was suitably impressed with quality and value for money.
Ordered a medium rare porterhouse steak. It turned up dry and almost well done. Had to then wait while my table almost finished eating before a new steak was brought out. Best I can say is that is was medium rare, not the greatest steak I've ever had.Probably would not go back ahaia.
