Really good experience at this hotel, we decided to stay there so that family and friends who came to visit we could see if we would recommend them, and also to check out the food and the leisure facilities.I can honestly say that the staff on reception and in the leisure facility were brilliant, made us feel comfortable, and were engaging which made our experience a good one.The leisure facilities were really good, i am so impressed that i am considering becoming a member.The rooms were lovely, just be careful of the radiator in the bathroom because it gets very hot.On the whole i would stay there again without any hesitation and would easily recommend this hotel.
For many years my family and myself have attended an AGM here. The staff are always very helpful, the food hot and well presented. The Hotel is always clean and comfortable, i feel a great place to go ..
Lovely looking course with trees and wide fairways.Played the 18 hole course on a very cold winters day. It was following some heavy, overnight rain so lots of temporary tees setup and, more annoyingly, temporary greens. These appeared on just over a quarter of the holes and just ruined them as they were tiny. However, the originals greens were huge with unpredictable bends and curves. Thoroughly enjoyable and hugely challenging. The par 3 from the bridge is my favourite, with a huge drop overlooking the rest of the course. The layout of the course is unique in that your are constantly crossing paths of the other holes, so you need to remain vigilant. Will revisit in spring/summer to play the course in its full glory.
Stayed here before a super car driving event at Bruntingthorpe a few miles away. Nice quiet hotel with friendly staff and quiet rooms overlooking fields. Was a 40 minute wait for a table in the restaurant but staff asked if we were okay with a table in the bar area as set up as per the restaurant and this was great. No waiting around....great idea and food very good. Breakfast also good......
I attended a wedding here at Ullesthorpe Hotel. The Staff are extremely helpful and generous at this hotel and went out of their way on several occasions to help.The surronding gardens are beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for pictures! However the decor of the guest rooms were very out dated unfortunately. There was also a LOT of dust behind the writing table and bed which was unpleasant to see. I did get a chance to see one of the suites and it was beautiful- large bed, sofa, breakfast area and a very large spacious bathroom. I think focus is needed on updating the other rooms to bring them up to standard.
