Great Campsite, not huge but has all you need.
An excellent campsite for 'back to basics' scouting. There are 2 large fields surrounded by trees with a number of altar fires around the site. There are a lot of improvements being made to the facilities on site as well, so it can only get better.
Great facility. Friendly, supportive team. Go there regularly for explorers and there is a lot to offer with great access to local footpaths straight out of the campsite.
This is a private campsite for Scouts and Guides, although they do take other youth groups and charities through enquiry on the website. It is not open to general members of the public or caravans. There are a number of camping plots available and also two bunk rooms with kitchen facilities. Full disabled facilities available too.Situated between Ullesthorpe and Frolesworth, the campsite is specifically looking at the more traditional skills and so doesn't have the usual activities like archery and climbing. Overall, it's a lovely, peaceful patch of woodland that I love visiting, and so do most of the groups too.
Lovely day to visit the site to collect Akela back from district sixes camp. Clean and tidy new improvements being completed by the wardens team it keeps getting better
